Mpogo lodge

This Lodge derives its name from a specific species of the Ankole cow or bull to be precise the one with darker brown color around the neck.  The lodge is situated outside the park and   quit a distance from the park entrance of Sanga. The lodge is located in a tranquil area surrounded by ranches therefore making it ideal place to mingle with a typical African environment with is big green compound.  The lodge offers a budget – mid range experience it has double rooms with ensuite bathrooms having hot water, specious twin’s rooms, and singles rooms.  It consists of both African entirely grass thatched cultural cottages and usual cottages.

The lodge besides accommodating its residents also gives its visitors a treat of the culture of the Ankole people ranging from entertainment of the local cultural music by the locals while seated around the bond fire in the night and also the immersion of the culture by teaching visitors how to milk the local cows and to make ghee.  Clearly the lodge leaves visitors with quit an experience they will carry for as long as the live.
