Exploring Rubanga forest. Rubanga forest is yet another relevant features and attraction situated with the confines of lake Mburo national park, as part of the wide network of the ecosystem that the park holds. The forest exploration is also one the many arrays of activities that any of the visitors to this small but interesting park can engage in.
Rubanga forest is home to an estimate of 40 bird species usually referred to as forest birds, suitable enough to attract birders. some of some of the bird species at the forest include; green pigeon ,harrier hawk, double toothed barbet, shoebill stork, the narina trogn, and the grey backed cameroptera. The forest also constitutes of several tree species some of which include: gigs, Platycaluz Markhamia, palm and acacia among many others.
Accessibility to the forest for any reason i.e. bird watching, nature walks and research solely has to be dependent on prior arrangements with the Uganda wildlife Authority officials at lake Mburo national park.
