Salt lick
The salt lick at lake Mburo national park is around shallow water hole situated in the middle of the park, it contains salty soils that the wildlife find very salty licking. The wildlife at Lake Mburo finds this a fascinating place to hang around as they enjoy of the salt taste by licking the soils.
Uganda wildlife Authority at lake Mburo has also found it of relevance to erect a stone adjacent to the salt lick but hidden, the purpose of the stone is to give tourist beautiful view of the wildlife that frequently assemble at the salt licks. Some of the wildlife that are frequent visitors to the salt licks include, zebras, elands , water bucks, antelopes etc. The salt lick visit can be done during an early morning guided nature walk in the park.
